COVID-19 Vaccine Status and 2021 Spring Recital Report

I hope that you were all able to watch the 2021 Spring Recital. I was so pleased with the recital outcome and see that statistics show that many of you have viewed the entire recital. I will be asking my students what they liked about the performances and what they learned from watching other students play their pieces. Watching other performances is an important part of the learning experience. The video links are still up on my website and can be found in the video section. If you have not been able to watch the recital; I encourage you to do so this week with your student. I would like to extend a special thank you to all the students that participated and families that faithfully watched the performances! I am hoping that I will be able to schedule a live recital event in the Fall with the option of streaming videos for those that are online only and still don't feel able to participate in live performances. I will keep you posted.

I also wanted to let you know that I received my 2nd COVID-19 vaccine last week. Effective May 13th I will be considered fully vaccinated and past the 2-week post vaccine period. I am following all the safety guidelines here at my studio including mask-wearing, hepa air filter with UV light, social distancing and frequent cleaning and continue to stay safe while outside of the studio. Only one student and parent will be admitted in the studio at a time and the stand and other high touch point surfaces are sanitized in between and after all in-person lessons. It is very safe here.

Currently, I have about 8 students that are coming in for in-person lessons. Some have requested a hybrid schedule with some in-person and some online. The majority have expressed wanting to stay online and are enjoying the convenience of online lessons. Some families live in different locations and online is the only option. All mentioned options are available to all my students. I just ask that you communicate with me if anything changes from our current scheduling agreement. Because of my packed schedule, I will not be able to schedule any student in-home lessons or visits. If you are fully online and are in need of maintenance, tuning, string changes, etc. you are welcome to schedule a time to drop by the studio to see me.

Stay well, and please let me know if you have any questions or would like to discuss scheduling options.

Always with joy and gratitude,
